Certain realizations can precipitate enormous slingshot-like expansions of consciousness and personal power. Moving beyond cause and effect is one.

In the movie Forrest Gump, there is a war scene in which his friend Bubba gets mortally wounded in Vietnam. As a whole, the movie is filled with powerful principles and is quite heartwarming, but this one scene is brutal and graphically violent. If you were to take this one freeze-frame scene of the movie as representative of what the whole movie is about, you would think it was a horror movie.

By taking one frame out of the whole, and mislabeling it, you have created a perceptual error. This is a meaningful analogy of cause and effect, which is a dualistic perceptual error. It results in the habit of distorting truth into fearful misperceptions that waste precious energy, making fear habitual. The result of living cause and effect is that it makes us believe fear, doubt, and worry are normal intelligent responses.

In reality, nothing is causing anything, because all things (phenomenon) are part of a larger whole called the Self (noumenon). All things are an expression of their own essence and therefore self-existent. Because the Self is not separate from anything else, its existence requires no external cause.

Remember, creation and evolution are one thing. As we evolve our consciousness, we see that all things arise into manifestation from the unmanifest world via the process of creation. Due to our limited consciousness, most people attribute any manifestation as having an external "cause" due to an error in sequential perception. (Remember the Forrest Gump analogy?)

Understand that perception is not reality; essence is reality. Perception tells you the earth is standing still, but it is not. Perception tells you that you are separate, but you are not. 

By understanding essence, we realize that things actualize from the unmanifest into the manifest when conditions are favorable, and what we actually witness is emergence, not as an effect from an external cause. At a quantum physics level there are a billion variables for how our lives can be.

When a strong-force attractor is chosen, we create INTENTION (Soul Purpose) x DISCIPLINE (to create favorable conditions) that maximizes the emergence of the SUCCESS (the highest variable) that already exists in the unmanifest world.

Cause and effect dictates that a gunshot by an enemy soldier (cause) killed Bubba (effect). Emergence proves that billions of factors coalesced for his death to occur -- the invention of gunpowder, modern weaponry, the French invading Vietnam in the 1950s, the U.S./Chinese cold war, his enlisting in the Army, even the weather conditions, plus a billion other factors.

Phenomena do not arise as an effect of something else, because in Unity consciousness there is no else. Only in duality does creation seem to require an explanation such as causality to explain the misperception of so-called separate events. Creation is one thing, flowing in perfect Unity in each moment called now, which is ongoing.

The appearance of anything you see is dependent upon everything else in the universe and the point of view from which it is witnessed. This point of view shifts according to one's level of consciousness, or the step on the Stairway of Selves upon which one is standing.

In reality there is no personal self, no separate events, no separate things and no happenings to be explained. Hence, we are one.
